Dr. Terry Cochran

Biography

Terry Cochran is a full professor at the Université de Montréal, where he has been a faculty member since 1995. He has held significant editorial positions, including editorial director of the University of Minnesota Press and director of Wesleyan University Press. His teaching and research focus on modern literary traditions, encompassing languages such as French, English, Portuguese, Spanish, German, and Italian. Cochran organizes his work around themes like language theory, literary historiography, relationship between literature and media, and cultural economics. His current research addresses the sacred vestiges and implications of literary philosophical thought within a global context. Notably, he has supervised several doctoral and master's theses, guiding students through a range of intricate literary analyses and philosophical inquiries.
