Dr. Terry Falcomata

Biography

Terry S. Falcomata is a Professor in the Department of Special Education at the University of Texas at Austin, where he has been a faculty member since 2009. He holds a Ph.D. in School Psychology from the University of Iowa (2008), an M.S. in Behavior Analysis Therapy from Southern Illinois University (2002), and a B.S. in Middle School Education from Illinois State University (1997). Dr. Falcomata completed a postdoctoral research position at the Munroe-Meyer Institute at the University of Nebraska Medical Center. He is the Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Behavioral Education and has held multiple editorial roles in significant journals in the field. His research primarily involves the assessment and treatment of problem behavior in individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder and Developmental Disabilities, methods to increase behavioral variability, and strategies to prevent clinical relapse of challenging behavior. Dr. Falcomata has published extensively and is known for his contributions to behavior analysis and its application in educational settings.
