Biography

Terry Knight is a Professor of Design Computation in the Department of Architecture at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He conducts research and teaches in the area of computational design, with an emphasis on the theory and application of shape grammars. Knight is well-known for his book, 'Transformations Design,' which serves as a comprehensive introduction to the field of shape grammars. He currently serves on the editorial boards of prominent journals including the Journal Mathematics and Arts, Design Science, and ArchiDoct, and he is a co-editor for a book series published by Routledge, titled Design, Technology and Society.
