Dr. Terry Takahashi

Biography

Terry Takahashi is an Assistant Professor of Chemistry at the University of Southern California's Dornsife College. His research focuses on Biochemistry and Molecular Biophysics, particularly in the development of innovative methodologies for the selection of proteins and peptides using mRNA display technology. He obtained his Ph.D. from the California Institute of Technology in 2005, and prior to that, he earned his M.S. from the same institution in 2004, and a B.A. in Chemistry from Claremont McKenna College in 1998. Takahashi has contributed significantly to the fields of mRNA display and protein interaction analysis, authoring several publications that detail his findings in these areas. His work is characterized by a robust application of experimental techniques to explore the intricacies of molecular interactions. Additionally, he has collaborated with various research teams to uncover novel mechanisms by which proteins can be engineered for therapeutics, pushing the boundaries of traditional biochemical research.
