Biography

Thaddeus Komacek is an Associate Professor at the University of Oxford in the Department of Physics, specializing in Exoplanet Atmospheres. His research encompasses theoretical and numerical studies of atmospheric dynamics and climate in exoplanets. He focuses on an extensive range of planetary climates, including extreme atmospheres of close-in extrasolar gas giant planets, commonly referred to as 'hot Jupiters', as well as the atmospheres of temperate Earth-sized rocky planets. Komacek is dedicated to collaborating with students and researchers, welcoming those interested in working at Oxford. He is part of the Atmospheric, Oceanic, and Planetary Physics sub-department, contributing significantly to the field of planetary science through his in-depth studies and findings.
