Dr. Theddeus Iheanacho

Biography

Theddeus Iheanacho is an Associate Professor of Psychiatry at Yale School of Medicine, where he holds several positions, including Director of Yale Global Mental Health and Director of the Global Mental Health Promotion Program at the Yale School of Public Health. He has a diverse educational background with qualifications including an MBBS from Abia State University and a DTM&H from the Royal College of Surgeons. His extensive research interests span behavior and addiction, mental health, health care management, health equity, and social determinants of health. Iheanacho actively engages in research focused on the integration of mental health into primary care in Nigeria, addressing barriers to access in resource-limited settings. He collaborates with various professionals across multiple disciplines and has contributed to significant publications in his field. His dedication to academia is complemented by his involvement in various committees at Yale, where he ensures the advancement of clinical skills assessment and enhances medical education.
