Biography

Dr. Kyriakides completed his PhD at Washington State University in 1993 and a postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Washington. His research expertise lies in the areas of extracellular matrix, inflammation, angiogenesis, arteriogenesis, and tissue repair. The Kyriakides lab investigates how the regulation and function of matricellular proteins modulate cell-extracellular matrix interactions, aiming to create novel engineering strategies based on biological observations to enhance tissue repair.
