Professor Dr. Theodore Klastorin

Biography

Theodore Klastorin is a Professor Emeritus of Operations Management at the Foster School of Business, University of Washington, where he has been a faculty member since 1974. He earned his PhD from the University of Texas in 1973 and a BS in 1969. His research expertise includes manufacturing management, operations management, operations research, project management, and supply chain management. Klastorin has served as a Senior Research Fellow at the IC2 Institute, University of Texas at Austin since 1990. He has held various academic positions, including Assistant Professor at Wake Forest University from 1972 to 1974. He has received notable recognitions including the PhD Outstanding Mentor Award from ISOM in 2011-2012 and the Andrew V. Smith Faculty Development Award in 1994. In addition to his academic achievements, he has contributed to editorial responsibilities for IIE Transactions Journal and has been involved in several consulting projects for major corporations, focusing on expert testimony for manufacturing issues and advanced project management.
