Biography

Theodore S. Rappaport is the David Lee/Ernst Weber Professor at NYU Tandon School of Engineering and the Founding Director of NYU WIRELESS. He holds professor positions in both the Department of Electrical Engineering and the Department of Computer Science at NYU's Courant Institute of Mathematical Sciences and the NYU School of Medicine's Department of Radiology. Rappaport is a leading figure in wireless communications and has been pivotal in establishing one of the world's largest academic wireless research centers. Rappaport holds BS, MS, and Ph.D. degrees in Electrical Engineering from Purdue University and has been recognized as a Distinguished Engineering Alumnus.
