Biography

Theodore Rave is a Law Professor at Texas Law with a focus on civil procedure, complex litigation, constitutional law, and election law. Prior to his academic career, he clerked for Judge Leonard B. Sand in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York and Judge Robert Katzmann in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit. He has also worked in appellate litigation at Jones Day in New York, focusing on class actions and multidistrict litigation. Before joining Texas Law in 2021, he was the George Butler Research Professor at the University of Houston Law Center and received a university-wide Teaching Excellence Award in 2018.
