Biography

Thibault Bertrand is an Associate Professor in Statistical Mechanics at Imperial College London. He is a trained theoretical physicist with expertise in non-equilibrium statistical mechanics. Thibault joined the Department of Mathematics at Imperial College London in 2018 after completing a postdoctoral fellowship under Dr. Raphaël Voituriez at Sorbonne Université's Laboratoire Jean Perrin. He received his undergraduate education in Physics from Ecole Normale Supérieure de Cachan (now Paris-Saclay), where he graduated with a BSc and MSc with honors. In 2016, he earned his PhD from Yale University in New Haven, CT, USA, where he worked on jamming models in disordered systems under the supervision of Professor Corey S.
