Biography

Thierry Tambe is an Assistant Professor in Electrical Engineering at Stanford University, with a courtesy appointment in Computer Science. He is a William George Ida Mary Hoover Faculty Fellow and his research focuses on making artificial intelligence (AI) for emerging data-intensive applications run efficiently on domain-specific hardware through algorithm-to-silicon co-design. His impactful work in this field has earned him several accolades, including the Google Machine Learning Systems Junior Faculty Award, the NVIDIA Graduate PhD Fellowship, and the IEEE Solid-State Circuits Society Predoctoral Achievement Award, as well as distinguished paper awards. Prior to his academic appointment, Thierry served as a visiting research scientist at NVIDIA and as an engineer at Intel. He completed his B.S. and M.Eng. at Texas A&M University and earned his PhD in Electrical Engineering from Harvard University in 2023. In his role at Stanford, he actively mentors graduate students and teaches various advanced courses.
