Biography

Thomas J. Boyle is an Assistant Professor at the Columbia University College of Dental Medicine, specializing in Operative Dentistry. He graduated from St. Peter’s College in 1972 and completed his dental training at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey in 1975. From 1975 to 2007, Dr. Boyle maintained a private practice. He has been serving in the Department of Adult Dentistry for over 11 years and is currently the Clinical Group Leader. Dr. Boyle has held leadership roles within the New Jersey Academy of General Dentistry (AGD), including serving as its past president and as a board examiner for the American Board of General Dentistry (ABGD). He received his Mastership from the AGD in 2003 and has contributed to the AGD Journal. His commitment to dental education is evidenced by numerous accolades, including the Edward V. Zegarelli Teaching Award from Columbia University in 2020 and the Lifetime Service Recognition Award from the National AGD in 2013. Dr. Boyle is also an inductee of the Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honor Society, highlighting his dedication to excellence in dental education and practice.
