Biography

Thomas Druetz holds a bachelor's degree in political science, a master's degree in international studies, and a specialized graduate diploma in community health. He completed a PhD in public health at the University of Montreal, where his thesis examined the role of community health workers in combating malaria in Burkina Faso. He undertook a postdoctoral fellowship in malaria epidemiology at the Department of Tropical Medicine at Tulane University in New Orleans, USA, where he was later appointed as a Professor. Currently, he is a Professor at the School of Public Health at the University of Montreal, focusing on global health issues, particularly the evaluation of interventions aimed at improving maternal and child health in low-income countries.
