Biography

Thomas Heldt is an Associate Professor of Electrical Biomedical Engineering at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and the Associate Director of the Institute for Medical Engineering and Science (IMES). He is a Principal Investigator in the Research Laboratory of Electronics (RLE) and has a strong research interest in medical engineering and computational medicine. He obtained his PhD in Medical Engineering from MIT in 2004 and an MPhil in Physics from Yale University in 1997. His research focuses on neuromonitoring, signal processing, and the modeling and estimation of physiological systems. He leads the Integrative Neuromonitoring Critical Care Informatics Group and works on advancing computational physiology and clinical inference methodologies. He is dedicated to developing innovative solutions for improving health outcomes through technology.
