Biography

Professor Keller specializes in accounting, with research and teaching interests primarily in financial accounting and reporting. He has held multiple offices in the American Accounting Association and served as editor of the Accounting Review from 1972 to 1975. He is a co-author and co-editor of various books related to financial accounting. In the summer and fall of 1975, he lectured in Australia and the Far East on a variety of topics concerning the development of accounting theory and standards under the auspices of a Fulbright grant. Currently, he serves as a director for several corporations, including Biogen, Inc., DIMON, INC., Hatteras Income Securities, Inc., Nations Funds, Inc., and Wendy’s International, Inc. He is also a director of the Triangle Community Foundation and the N.C. Zoological Society, as well as a trustee for the Research Triangle Regional Partnership and Stillman College. Professor Keller has been a director of the American Assembly of Collegiate Schools of Business, which is a national accrediting agency for business schools, and served as chairman of the RTP World Trade Center. He was the dean of the Fuqua School of Business from June 1974 to June 1996.
