Biography

Professor Thomas Korn is a distinguished scientist specializing in Experimental Neuroimmunology at the Technical University of Munich. He obtained his medical degree from Julius-Maximilians University Würzburg and completed his residency in Neurology. His research focus is primarily on the molecular characterization of T cell fate decisions, particularly in non-lymphoid tissues within the central nervous system context of autoimmunity. He has received numerous accolades for his work including the Sobek Award in Multiple Sclerosis Research (2023), the ERC Consolidator Grant (2015), and the Heisenberg Award (2008).
