Dr. Thomas Lee

Biography

Thomas Lee is a Visiting Professor at Columbia Law School and a leading expert in the fields of federal courts, constitutional law, international law, U.S. foreign relations law, civil procedure, and legal history. He serves as the Leitner Family Professor of International Law at Fordham University School of Law and is the Co-Founder and Co-Director of the Center for Asian Americans in the Law. Lee has held various academic positions, including adjunct professorships at New York University School of Law and multiple visiting professorships at prestigious institutions such as Columbia, Harvard, and the University of Virginia. His extensive professional background includes serving as Special Counsel at Hughes Hubbard & Reed and as an active-duty U.S. naval cryptology officer. Lee has clerked for Judge Michael Boudin on the U.S. Court of Appeals and Justice David Souter on the U.S. Supreme Court. His education includes a J.D. from Harvard Law School and advanced degrees from Harvard University, where he is a Ph.D. candidate in Government.
