Biography

Thomas LeGrand is an associate professor in the Department of Demography at the Université de Montréal. His research focuses on major population issues in developing countries, including fertility, transitions to adulthood, support for the elderly, and determinants of child health. He has investigated the effects of fertility decline on youth education and employment in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso.
