Thomas R. Lyon, MD, is an Orthopedic Trauma Surgeon at NYU Langone Health, with over 20 years of experience in the field. He specializes in treating a wide range of fractures, both simple and complex, including joint injuries and polytrauma scenarios. Dr. Lyon is committed to delivering high-quality care that prioritizes the unique needs of each patient. His approach involves creating personalized treatment plans that foster trust and understanding, ensuring that he provides the same level of care he would want for his own family. He is actively engaged in research focusing on bone healing, bone-growing proteins, and stem cell therapies, aiming to enhance his ability to address difficult fractures and non-unions with innovative solutions. Dr. Lyon completed his medical education at Albert Einstein College of Medicine and underwent a residency at Montefiore Medical Center, followed by a fellowship at R.A. Cowley Shock Trauma Center.
