Biography

Thomas Friis Søgaard is an Associate Professor at Aarhus University in the Department of Psychology and Behavioural Sciences, where he focuses on research addressing drug markets, consumption culture, and related policies. His academic work encompasses significant studies on the night-time economy and drug use patterns, highlighting the impacts of drug trafficking and laws on society. He has contributed to the research community via various projects concerning serious drug crimes and the trajectories of drug smugglers, actively participating in both qualitative and quantitative research. Furthermore, he has delivered numerous lectures and presentations in seminars and conferences related to criminology and drug policies.
