Dr. Thorsten Busch

Biography

Thorsten Busch is a Senior Lecturer at ZHAW Zurich University of Applied Sciences, focusing on digital business ethics, technology ethics, artificial intelligence ethics, digital games, digital marketing ethics, and digital sustainability. Before his appointment at ZHAW, he taught at various prestigious institutions including the University of St. Gallen, Trinity Business School, and HEC Montréal. Busch has extensively published on topics related to digital ethics in reputable outlets such as the Journal of Business Ethics and Information Technology. He has presented his research at leading international institutions, including MIT and the University of Oxford. His diverse academic experience includes roles as a Postdoctoral Fellow in game studies at Concordia University, a Visiting Assistant Professor of corporate social responsibility at the University of Konstanz, and a Senior Research Fellow in data ethics at the University of St. Gallen. He holds an M.A. in political science, economics, and management from the University of Oldenburg and a Ph.D. in organizational studies and cultural theory from the University of St. Gallen.
