Biography

Thurayya Arayssi is a Professor of Clinical Medicine at Cornell University. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree from the American University of Beirut in 1986 and went on to complete her medical education at the same institution, obtaining her degree in 1990. Her primary areas of research interest include rheumatoid arthritis, clinical epidemiology, stakeholder engagement in health care guidelines, and the development of medical education programs. She has been actively involved in various research projects, focusing on genetic mechanisms, treatment patterns, and educational innovations within the medical field. Over her career, she has published numerous academic articles in high-impact journals, including Nature Genetics and the Annals of Internal Medicine, contributing significantly to the knowledge base surrounding rheumatoid arthritis and healthcare practices.
