Dr. Tianne Haggar

Biography

Tianne Haggar is a Research Associate at the Policy Institute, specializing in mental health, women's health, and health policy. She investigates various mental health populations, including asylum seekers and emergency responders, and addresses issues affecting women's health, such as preterm birth and hyperemesis. Her work aims to improve equitable care for long-term conditions like dementia and epilepsy, leveraging technology and artificial intelligence in health. Haggar has a strong background in qualitative and quantitative research methodologies, including interviews and surveys, and is adept at stakeholder engagement through impactful Policy Lab workshops. She has successfully mobilized research into practice, influencing local policy such as the Women’s Health Strategy in London. Her academic contributions have been presented at significant conferences such as the European Public Health Conference and the International Humanitarian Studies Conference. Tianne holds an MSc in Global Health and Social Justice from King’s College London, and a BSc in Psychology and Philosophy from the University of Birmingham.
