Biography

Tie Cui joined the University of Edinburgh Business School in April 2023 as a Lecturer in Service Management. Before this position, he served as a lecturer at the University of Greenwich from 2021 to 2022, and at Edinburgh Napier University from 2022 to 2023. He received his PhD from the University of Edinburgh in 2021, where he was fully funded by the Centre for Service Excellence (CenSE). Tie has obtained both a BSc and an MSc in Public Administration from Shandong University and Lanzhou University, respectively. His research examines the design, delivery, management, and transformation of public services, focusing particularly on concepts of value co-creation and value destruction in service ecosystems as they pertain to significant global challenges such as climate change and pandemics. Tie also has broader research interests in public administration, including policymaking, collaborative governance, and social innovation, utilizing qualitative methods in his studies. He actively collaborates with scholars worldwide and has presented his research at leading international conferences.
