Biography

Tiffany Fong, MD, is an Assistant Professor and Director of Emergency Ultrasound at the Johns Hopkins Department of Emergency Medicine. She completed her residency in Emergency Medicine at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and has advanced training in point-of-care ultrasound. Dr. Fong holds a Focused Practice Designation in Emergency Ultrasound from the American Board of Emergency Medicine. In her role, she is actively involved in promoting leadership and education in point-of-care ultrasound both nationally and internationally. Dr. Fong is co-chair of the Emergency Ultrasound Safety subcommittee and leads the Resident Education subcommittee for the American College of Emergency Physicians (ACEP). She is dedicated to developing clinical ultrasound programs, ensuring resident and medical student training, and fostering interdepartmental collaborations in ultrasound education. Her efforts have been recognized with the Outstanding Educational Program Award from the Johns Hopkins Institute for Excellence in Education in 2019. Her research interests include emergency ultrasound and the development of educational programs for non-Emergency Medicine residents, fellows, and faculty.
