Biography

Tilden Katz is a Lecturer in Law at the University of Chicago Law School. He provides strategic communications and crisis communications counsel to clients across a range of industries. As a litigation attorney, Tilden has advised numerous boards of directors and corporate executives, guiding them through critical events. He has counselled both plaintiffs and defendants in high-profile matters, including antitrust, contract disputes, class-action lawsuits, employment issues, financial concerns, labor disputes, malpractice cases, product liability, regulatory matters, toxic torts, and white-collar criminal cases. Tilden has worked with market-leading organizations such as Blue Cross Blue Shield Association, Chemours, Exxon, Field Museum, Lyric Opera Chicago, Merck, NCAA, Northwestern University, Office Max, Pomona College, Redflex Traffic Systems, Tribune Publishing, and Walgreens. Before joining Grove Partners, he served as a senior principal at Cozen O'Connor Public Strategies and was a managing director at FTI Consulting, where he helped lead the litigation communications practice. Tilden also co-founded and led the Chicago office of APCO Worldwide for eight years.
