Dr. Tim Cason

Biography

Tim Cason is a Distinguished Professor and Gadomski Chair of Economics at Purdue University's Krannert School of Management. His research and teaching interests focus on Industrial Organization, Experimental Economics, and Environmental Economics. He investigates topics such as experimental markets, environmental regulation, and antitrust issues. Cason has published in leading academic journals including Science, the Journal of Political Economy, Econometrica, the American Economic Review, and the Review of Economic Studies. He has also served as Co-Editor for the Journal of Public Economics and has held editorial positions at several other economics journals. Cason served as President of the Economic Science Association from 2009 to 2011, indicating his prominence in the field of experimental economics. Before joining Purdue in 1998, he was an associate professor and assistant professor at the University of Southern California. His consultancy work includes areas of public utility regulation and antitrust.
