Dr. Tim Jenkinson

Biography

Tim Jenkinson is a leading authority on private equity, initial public offerings, and institutional asset management. He is renowned for his ability to collect critical, previously inaccessible data and for building strong links between institutional investors, regulators, and players in the financial industry. His research has been widely quoted and published in top academic journals. Tim is the Director of the Oxford Private Equity Institute and a founding member of the Private Equity Research Consortium. He is also recognized as an exceptional teacher and presenter, teaching executive courses on private equity, entrepreneurial finance, and valuation. Tim has been awarded several prestigious prizes for his research work, including the 2016 Harry Markowitz Prize and the 2015 Commonfund Prize. He is a Professorial Fellow at Keble College, University of Oxford, and a Research Associate of the European Corporate Governance Institute. Tim's academic contributions extend to consulting roles in leading economics consultancy and providing expert witness evidence in high-profile cases. He joined Saïd Business School in 2000 after previously working in the economics department at the University of Oxford since 1987.
