Professor Lüth’s research encompasses development processes for mechatronic systems, medical devices, surgical robots, rapid prototyping, assistance systems, and technologies for the elderly. He studied electrical engineering at Darmstadt University of Technology, graduating in 1989. He earned his doctorate from the University of Karlsruhe in 1993 with a thesis focused on robot manufacturing.
