Biography

Tim Martin is a senior lecturer at the Scheller College of Business at Georgia Tech. He received his bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Georgia Tech and an Executive MBA from Georgia Tech as well. He also holds a Six Sigma Certification from the University of Michigan and is currently pursuing a doctorate at Drexel University. Mr. Martin has over 15 years of experience working in various industries, where he has held roles such as engineering manager, director of product management, and head of operations at a global clean energy firm. He incorporates valuable real-world examples into his classroom teaching. At Georgia Tech, Mr. Martin has been a faculty member for five years, teaching both undergraduate and graduate-level courses in Operations Management, Supply Chain Modeling, Service Operations, Management Technology, and Operations Strategy. Additionally, he teaches an Executive Education Lean Six Sigma Green Belt professional education course and the Georgia Tech Freshman Orientation Course. Mr. Martin also serves as a faculty advisor for the Graduate Operations Management Society Buddy Jackets, a student organization focused on mentoring students from the Boys & Girls Clubs of Atlanta. He is an active member of the Scheller Undergraduate Curriculum Committee.
