Biography

Tim Mawson is an academic with extensive training in philosophy, particularly at St Peter’s College and Queen's College, Oxford. He has held several temporary lectureships at various Oxford colleges and has been a Philosophy Fellow at St Peter's since 1998. Mawson’s research focuses on the intersection of Philosophy and Religion, with a particular emphasis on Philosophical Theology and Value Theory. He has authored five books and published around fifty papers that address a broad spectrum of subjects within the realm of Philosophy and Religion. One of his recent areas of inquiry includes the existential question, “What is the meaning of life?”, a fundamental concern that resonates with both laypeople and professional philosophers alike. He continues to engage with these themes through lectures and academic discourse.
