Biography

Originally trained as an architect, Tim worked on projects at a variety of high-profile architecture practices, including Foster + Partners in London and ONL (Oosterhuis_Lénárd) in Rotterdam. As a researcher in the Hyperbody Research Group at TU Delft, he gained an Engineering Doctorate from Reading University in 2013. Currently, Tim is an Associate Professor of Building Design at the Technical University of Denmark, where his research investigates the augmentation of human design processes through computational science and developmental biology. He incorporates advanced design and fabrication technologies to address the intergalactic challenges that designers face in the 21st century. In his role at the University of South Australia, Tim co-founded the Morphogenetic Prototyping Lab and the Agile X Research Group. His research network is international, and he enjoys working with existing and new partners to discover knowledge in different places.
