Biography

Tim Miyashiro is a Professor in the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at Penn State University, where he has been since 2013. His research focuses on using laboratory studies of squid-vibrio symbiosis to understand the mechanisms by which bacteria establish symbiosis with animals. He previously trained as a postdoctoral fellow in Dr. Edward G.
