Dr. Tim Newbold

Biography

Tim Newbold is a professor of conservation ecology based at University College London (UCL). He has been at UCL since 2015, focusing on the drivers of large-scale biodiversity change. Newbold held a University Research Fellowship from the Royal Society from 2016 to 2024, which facilitated his research in this critical area. His work contributes significantly to understanding biodiversity patterns and their implications for conservation, particularly in light of climate change and human impact on ecosystems.
