Biography

Tim van Meurs obtained his PhD from Erasmus University Rotterdam in 2023 and is currently a postdoctoral researcher in the Department of Sociology at Tilburg University. His research focuses on citizens’ perspectives on a variety of health-related topics, including health behavior and receptivity to health interventions. He is particularly interested in the role of anti-institutionalism and how aversion to governmental, scientific, and health care institutions reflects the health perspectives of citizens from diverse social backgrounds. Currently, he works on various surveys including the European Social Survey, the European Values Study, and the International Social Survey Programme.
