Tim Verlaan is an Assistant Professor specializing in Urban History at the University of Amsterdam. In addition, Verlaan is researching the histories of gentrification and the recent rise in solo living. He coordinates the MA program in Urban Architectural History, serves as an associate editor for Urban History, and is a founding member of Failed Architecture.
