Biography

Professor Brothers joined the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering in 2020 focusing on Digital Design. Prior to joining ECE, he served as Chief Scientist at the Applied Embedded Systems Division of the Electronic Systems Laboratory at the Georgia Tech Research Institute. From 2008 to 2010, he worked at the Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division in China Lake, California, focusing on research and development. Additionally, he has experience as an assistant professor at the University of South Alabama from 2007 to 2008. With a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering and a B.S. degree in Computer Engineering from the University of Wyoming, earned in 2007 and 2002 respectively, Professor Brothers has a strong academic background. He is also a combat veteran of the Army National Guard having served during Operation Iraqi Freedom from 2004 to 2005. He enjoys traveling, biking, camping, hiking, and woodworking.
