Dr. Timothy Brown

Biography

Dr. Timothy F.E. Brown is an Associate Professor in the Division of Otolaryngology–Head and Neck Surgery at Dalhousie University, where he has been an active surgical staff member since 2008. He specializes in the care of patients with voice and upper airway disorders, and has established a state-of-the-art clinic that offers advanced techniques in surgical treatment and in-office procedures. His research interests focus on outcomes-based research related to surgical care for these conditions, alongside a strong commitment to medical education within the field of otolaryngology. Dr. Brown has been involved in developing a national curriculum for undergraduate medical training in otolaryngology and encourages collaborative projects that enhance the educational experience for medical students and residents. He obtained his Laryngology fellowship from Dalhousie University, following a residency in Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery. His academic background includes a Doctor of Medicine from McMaster University and a Bachelor of Arts in History and Political Science from the University of Western Ontario. He has published extensively in peer-reviewed journals, contributing significantly to the field with research on glottic cancer and vocal cord pathologies.
