Dr. Timothy Cope

Biography

Timothy C. Cope is a Professor in the School of Biological Sciences and the Joint Department of Biomedical Engineering at Georgia Institute of Technology. He serves as the Director of the Neuroscience Neurotechnology PhD Program. His research focuses on neural circuits and their role in guiding movement, particularly in the context of the mammalian spinal cord and responses to injury and disease. Cope's work encompasses investigating how neural systems function normally and adapt when faced with trauma or disease processes. He has a strong academic background, holding a PhD from Duke University and BS/MS degrees from UCLA.
