Dr. Timothy Malloy

Biography

Timothy Malloy is a faculty member at the University of California, Los Angeles, where he serves as the Faculty Director of the UCLA Sustainable Technology Policy Program. He teaches courses on Environmental Aspects of Business Transactions, Regulatory Lawyering, and Regulation of Business Firms. Since joining the UCLA faculty in 1998, he has engaged in extensive legal practice, including working for both private firms and the United States Environmental Protection Agency. His research encompasses environmental policy, chemical nanotechnology policy, regulatory design and implementation, and organizational theory. Malloy has a notable interest in risk governance and pollution prevention, blending academic pursuits with practical application in the Sustainable Technology Policy Program. He holds a B.A. from Villanova University and a J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania, further demonstrating his commitment to legal education and regulatory frameworks.
