Biography

Timothy Thompson is a Senior Vice President of Transformation at TD Canada Trust. He is responsible for setting the strategic direction of the business and assisting in the delivery of solutions that help change how the business operates, ultimately benefiting customers. His transformation team focuses on key areas including digitization, automation, business architecture, and data governance, as well as overall business transformation and customer strategies. Timothy has held various progressively senior roles since joining TD in 1990, including Chief Operating Officer of TD Asset Management, where he managed institutional distribution and relationship management. He served in significant roles, including Vice Chair and was promoted to Vice President of Investor Relations in October 2006 and Senior Vice President in December 2007. In 2010, he became Senior Vice President of Retail Sales and Service. In addition to his business line responsibilities, Timothy chairs TD's Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender Allies diversity committee. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Western Ontario and his MBA from McGill University. He is also a CFA charterholder.
