Biography

Tina Irvine is an Assistant Professor affiliated with the Critical Disability Studies department at Purdue University. She specializes in cultural and intellectual history with a focus on the modern United States. Her research covers the politics of race, science, and power during the long twentieth century, particularly examining social engineering projects aimed at 'Americanizing' poor white Appalachians.
