Biography

Tina van de Flierdt is a Professor of Isotope Geochemistry and the Head of the Department of Earth Science and Engineering at Imperial College London. She has an academic background that includes a Diploma in Geology from the University of Bonn and a PhD in Natural Science from ETH Zurich. Tina's research focuses on understanding chemical cycles, trace elements, pollutants in oceans, and the reconstruction of ocean circulation and its relationship with climate, particularly the history of polar ice sheets and their vulnerability to future climate change.
