Dr. Tina Wang Vedelø

Biography

Tina Wang Vedelø is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Public Health at Aarhus University, specializing in patient perspectives and experiences of relatives of cognitively impaired patients, particularly in the context of brain cancer care. She focuses on developing interventions that improve care based on the needs, preferences, and values of patients and their families. Vedelø has a strong background in nursing, having worked as a clinical nurse specialist in the Neurosurgery Department at Aarhus University Hospital. Since February 2022, she has also served as a commissioned nursing research consultant and lecturer at the same institution. Vedelø supervises students in the Master's program in Nursing, teaching about patient perspectives on illness and the methods for developing clinical practice. She has contributed to various research projects aimed at improving patient pathways and enhancing collaboration between healthcare professionals and relatives. Throughout her career, Vedelø has focused on qualitative research methods and case study designs, aiming to generate in-depth insights into patient care.
