Dr. Titiksha Fernandes

Biography

Titiksha is an Extension Professional at the Drawdown Georgia Business Compact, where she supports the development of materials circularity and food agriculture initiatives, collaborating to advance the strategic objectives of the Compact. She holds a Ph.D. in Public Policy from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and is a Certified Circular Economy Manager. Before joining the Center, Titiksha was part of national, local, and regional teams designing and implementing policies in the field of sustainability. Notably, she has worked on redesigning e-waste policy for the national government of India, implementing pilot programs for resource efficiency and circular economy, and recommending a resource efficiency framework for India. She has also developed solid waste recycling recommendations for the State of North Carolina. Her doctoral research focused on expanding the Way Home Housing Endowment in the Charlotte-Mecklenburg community by incorporating grassroots agencies to expand the reach of the program.
