Biography

Tobias Ambjörnsson is a Senior Lecturer and Director of Cycle Studies in the Department of Earth and Environmental Sciences at Lund University. He specializes in computational science with a focus on bionanophysics, theoretical biological physics, and non-equilibrium statistical physics. His research encompasses diverse areas such as mathematical physics and nanophysics, where he collaborates with experimental partners from physics, chemistry, and nanoscience. Ambjörnsson's notable research topics include data analysis and modeling, particle tracking, optical DNA mapping, and the study of biophysical processes at the nanoscale. His work involves modeling crowding effects in tracer particle dynamics, exploring single-file diffusion, and investigating the electromagnetic response of biomembranes. He has published numerous scholarly articles and has been involved in several important research projects, particularly in the area of molecular dynamics and the application of fluorescence microscopy for diagnostic purposes.
