Biography

Tobias Dong, MD, PhD, is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Division of Hospital Medicine at Stanford School of Medicine. He earned his MD and PhD from the University of California, Irvine, with a focus on Immunology for his thesis. Following his education, he completed his residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Southern California and subsequently joined the Oncology Hospitalist program in Stanford's inaugural year. His past research includes work on imaging calcium signaling dynamics in T cell function, with a particular emphasis on regulatory T cells, as well as the creation of transgenic mouse models with genetically encoded calcium indicators. Currently, his areas of interest encompass inpatient oncology care, cancer mortality, and medical education. He is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in Internal Medicine.
