Biography

Tobias Wright is an EPSRC research fellow in the Nuclear Physics Group at the University of Manchester. He obtained his MPhys degree from the University of Sheffield in 2010 and went on to complete his PhD in 2014 at the University of Manchester, focusing on the high accuracy measurement of 238 U(n,γ) cross sections at the CERN n_TOF facility. Following his doctoral studies, he pursued postdoctoral research as a PDRA at CERN and received the EPSRC energy postdoctoral research fellowship in 2016. In 2019, he became the manager of the UK Nuclear Data Network, a STFC-funded initiative. He was awarded the EPSRC fellowship in 2022 for his work on Nuclear Data Measurements for Advanced Nuclear Technologies. Tobias also has teaching experience as a visiting lecturer at the University of Chester from 2020 to 2022, where he taught nuclear technologies and led various courses including Introduction to Nuclear Particle Physics and Radiation & Radiological Protection.
