Biography

Toby Kenney is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mathematics and Statistics at Dalhousie University. He earned his PhD from the University of Cambridge in 2006. His research interests include a wide variety of topics primarily related to algebra, logic, combinatorics, statistical genetics, and phylogeny. Specific areas of focus include lattice theory, particularly partition lattices and congruence lattices; Coxeter groups; and statistical models in molecular evolution. He has numerous publications in reputed journals, contributing significantly to the fields of algebraic combinatorics and discrete mathematics. Kenney is also engaged in teaching and mentoring students in advanced mathematical concepts and their applications.
